Il y a tellement de raisons d’aimer Brighton : le magasin de disques Bella Union, une ambiance générale de tolérance et d’inclusivité, le steak bulgogi. Et puis il y a le club de foot. Livre pour livre, Brighton pourrait être la meilleure et la plus excitante équipe d’Angleterre en ce moment.
L’équipe qui a battu Liverpool il y a quinze jours n’a coûté que 31 millions de livres sterling, soit environ la moitié de ce qui leur a été offert pour Moises Caicedo seul, et depuis Noël, ils ont marqué 19 buts en six matchs. Ce serait une insulte à Graham Potter de dire que Brighton est passé au niveau supérieur sous Roberto De Zerbi – mais ils sont passés à un niveau différent, plus revigorant.
La saison dernière, Potter a emmené Brighton à sa neuvième place, la plus élevée de tous les temps.
