CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts (AP) – L’actrice de “The White Lotus” Jennifer Coolidge a été célébrée samedi en tant que Femme de l’année 2023 par les Hasty Pudding Theatricals de l’Université de Harvard.
En tant que plus ancienne organisation théâtrale du pays et l’une des plus anciennes au monde, depuis 1951, Hasty Pudding Theatricals décerne chaque année ce prix à des femmes “qui ont apporté des contributions durables et impressionnantes au monde du divertissement”.
Coolidge, qui a connu une résurgence de sa carrière après son rôle de Tanya McQuoid-Hunt dans la série acclamée de HBO “The White Lotus”, a fait la une d’un défilé dans les rues de Cambridge samedi après-midi. Vêtue d’un manteau à imprimé léopard et coiffée d’un chapeau rose moelleux, elle a fait signe à la foule qui était sortie malgré des températures inhabituellement glaciales.
Coolidge, qui a également joué la mère sensuelle de Stifler dans “American Pie” et la sage manucure Paulette dans les films “Legally Blonde”, a grandi dans la région de Boston. Plus tard dans la soirée, elle assistera à un rôti où elle recevra son prix Pudding Pot.

Parmi les précédentes lauréates du prix de la femme de l’année figurent Meryl Streep, Viola Davis et Debbie Reynolds.
Jeudi, l’acteur primé et auteur à succès Bob Odenkirk a été honoré en tant qu’homme de l’année 2023. Odenkirk, mieux connu sous le nom d’avocat louche Saul Goodman dans “Breaking Bad” et “Better Call Saul”, a reçu son prix Pudding Pot lors du rôti de célébration avant un aperçu de la 174e production de Hasty Pudding Theatricals, “COSMIC RELIEF!”
