Lady Gaga opte pour une performance dépouillée aux Oscars 2023

Lady Gaga a construit une carrière en défiant les attentes en musique et au cinéma, et sa performance aux Oscars 2023 n’a pas fait exception.

L’icône de la pop fait une entrée époustouflante lors de la cérémonie de dimanche dans une longue robe noire et un bustier transparent de Versace. Mais au moment où elle est montée sur scène pour interpréter «Hold My Hand», sa chanson nominée aux Oscars de «Top Gun: Maverick», elle avait troqué le glamour hollywoodien pour un t-shirt décontracté, un jean déchiré et un maquillage minimal.

Elle a dédié sa performance à Tony Scott, qui a réalisé le premier “Top Gun” de 1986. Le cinéaste britannique et frère cadet de Ridley Scott a également réalisé des succès tels que “True Romance” en 1993 et ”Enemy of the State” en 1998. Il est décédé en 2012 à l’âge de 68 ans.

L’approche dépouillée de Gaga a été un changement marqué par rapport à 2019, lorsqu’elle a rejoint Bradley Cooper, qui a réalisé et joué avec Gaga dans “A Star is Born”, pour une interprétation rêveuse de “Shallow” sur la scène des Oscars.

Comme pour “Shallow”, la performance de “Hold My Hand” de Gaga a été tournée en très gros plan, mettant en valeur ses talents inégalés de musicienne tout en recueillant des réponses amusantes de la part des téléspectateurs.

“Lady Gaga donne toute son énergie au micro ouvert aux oscars comme si vous ne compreniez pas que je suis obsédé”, Vanity Fair’s Chris Murphy écrit.

Critique de cinéma IndieWire David honnête a également applaudi la décision: “Lady Gaga était une fois de plus comme” je ne jouerai aux Oscars que si c’est filmé de la manière la plus intime possible “et j’adore ça chez elle.”

Malgré les éloges, Gaga a perdu l’Oscar de la meilleure chanson originale au profit de “Naatu Naatu”, du film indien “RRR”.

Il s’avère que la tenue minimaliste était peut-être par nécessité. Gaga, qui tourne actuellement «Joker: Folie à Deux», devait initialement sauter les Oscars. Sa performance n’a été confirmée que par Variety quelques heures avant la cérémonie de dimanche.
