Raoul Ehren, entraîneur néerlandais, a affirmé que tout le monde était tellement en forme de nos jours, ajoutant qu’ils jouaient quatre matchs en cinq jours en Pro League et qu’il ne pensait pas que ce fût un problème majeur.
Ehren also felt India showed no obvious signs of fatigue during the match, adding, qu’ils avaient vu à quel point elles avaient été bonnes ce jour-là et qu’il n’avait constaté aucune fatigue chez les joueuses indiennes.
Australia and China Match on Friday
The 1-1 draw between Australia and China, earlier in the day, left the door still open for India to challenge for a spot in the semifinals. The Indian women’s hockey team suffered a 0-2 defeat to the Netherlands in their second-round match of the FIH World Cup on Friday after entering the second round unbeaten. India reached the second round after finishing second in Pool D, having earlier drawn with China and beaten South Africa before playing out a 0-0 draw against England in their final pool match on Thursday. China topped Pool D, while India moved into the next stage with one point carried forward from their draw against China. India will face Australia on Sunday and need a win to keep their hopes of reaching the semi-finals alive.
